About
Lorraine Broache works from Isle of Palms, with clients across Charleston and the Lowcountry.
She came to design through a long career of homemaking — an eye trained, year after year, on how rooms actually live in once the photographs are put away. The practice now gathers around two related kinds of work: full interior design for residences, and sale-positioning, which is preparing a home so it reads correctly when it goes to market.
The approach is unhurried, opinionated where it matters, and deferential to the architecture of a Lowcountry home. A room is finished when nothing else needs to be added — not when nothing more can be added.
New projects are accepted in a small number, with first conversations beginning four to eight weeks out. If you have a home in mind, a few honest sentences about it is the right place to start.
